AI interpretation and crowd guidance arrive at Hadong’s Ssanggyesa and Hwagae Market

The Korea Tourism Organization says it is deploying six AI technology companies to tackle congestion around Ssanggyesa Temple and Hwagae Market in Hadong, South Gyeongsang Province (Yonhap). The projects include crowd-level guidance for peak hours and AI interpretation for foreign visitors. Hadong - a temple on the slopes of Jirisan and a traditional market town - has begun to get crowded as more travelers venture beyond Seoul.
Two things this means for travelers. First, it is a signal that interpretation and guidance infrastructure is finally reaching regional destinations where language support was thin - if 'what if English doesn't work there' has kept you from the countryside, the threshold is coming down. Second, once congestion guidance launches, you will be able to time your visits strategically. Launch dates and service details are not yet public, so if you are planning a Hadong trip now, the basic strategy still applies: go early in the morning to beat the crowds.
